We’ve spent some time with example Copilot prompts, and now I want to discuss some of the use cases and limitations of Microsoft Copilot for 365’s assistance, and how it can help you improve your writing skills and efficiency.
My Copilot Use Cases
As a Principal Solutions Architect at LiftCloud, I am responsible for designing, developing, and delivering cloud solutions for businesses, using Microsoft Azure and 365 Services. Some of the copilot use cases that I have completed with Microsoft Copilot for 365 in the past 10 days are:
- Writing a proposal for a cloud migration project for a large retail company. Microsoft Copilot for 365 helped me write a clear and convincing proposal that highlighted the benefits of migrating to Microsoft Azure, such as scalability, security, cost-efficiency, and innovation. Microsoft Copilot for 365 also suggested some relevant statistics, case studies, and best practices to support my proposal.
- Creating a presentation for a client on Microsoft 365 Security Solutions. Microsoft Copilot for 365 helped me create a professional and engaging presentation that covered the key topics of Microsoft 365 Security, such as identity and access management, threat protection, information protection, and compliance. Microsoft Copilot for 365 also suggested some visuals, diagrams, and animations to make my presentation more interactive and appealing.

Microsoft Copilot for 365 is also useful for recapping meetings in teams or getting all the latest correspondence through 365 Apps.

Microsoft Copilot for 365 is a powerful and helpful assistant that can help you write faster and better in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Some Copilot best practices for Microsoft 365 are:

Copilot Limitations
However, Microsoft Copilot for 365 is not perfect, and it has some limitations that you should be aware of. Some of the limitations of Copilot are:
- It is not a replacement for human creativity, judgment, and expertise. A tool can assist you, but not do the work for you. You should always review and edit the suggestions and corrections that Microsoft Copilot for 365 provides, and make sure that they are accurate, relevant, and appropriate for your context and purpose.
- There is no guarantee of quality, originality, or correctness. Copilot is based on AI and machine learning, which means that it can make mistakes, generate inaccurate or inappropriate content, or plagiarize existing sources. You should always check the sources, facts, and references that Microsoft Copilot for 365 provides, and make sure that they are credible, reliable, and properly cited.
